A Beautiful Wedding
This last Thursday, March 22, I had the privilege of going to Keystone Lake, OK, to my niece, Allyson's wedding. We went early to help with whatever we could. Soni, Alex and David went with me. Bill was kind enough to let us stay in his cabin. Becky and Shawn made supper for us on Thursday night. It was a beautiful location, and a beautiful building to have a wedding. I got to help with arranging the flowers in the containers for the centerpieces.
I helped Robin make cakes. She made the bride's cake, Soni made the filling to go into it. When the cake was cut open, voila, there was a heart shape! It was very cute. Robin made truffles at home and brought them to go on stands under the cake. It was lit up with lights under each of the stands. I made 5 batches of icing for the cakes and then made 2 extra cakes for a 2 layer cake in case there wasn't enough of the decorated ones. Robin made everything to go on the Aquarium cake for the groom. She made it out of modeling chocolate. Kevin made the stand for it with the backdrop attached.
Robin made all the food for the dinner after the wedding. Ahead of time, Alice and Dale helped her make the lasagna rolls for the 6 Chicken Alfredo and 6 Sausage lasagnas. She made the sauce at the cabin and she and Soni put them together. Becky and Shawn helped out by cooking 8 of the pans of lasagna at their cabins. She also made bread sticks. Steve and Dale ran and got lettuce at the last minute to make sure we had enough salad to go around. Here are some pictures of the wedding.
A good picture of Mama and Lynn. David dancing with Ellie, at least one of them looks happy. He said he liked dancing with her. Allyson and the flower girls, Beautiful! Great Picture of John and Lynn.
