Crazy Days

We are moving!! Quickly! I had been packing for about 10 days. My back started having muscle spasms starting on last Sunday morning, so I was down for 3 days more or less, not packing anything, and just trying to feel better. Soni called and said that she would come and help, so she came on Tuesday morning. I wasn't able to help much. She worked really hard, and I was there to just tell her what I wanted where. JD came after he got off work Thursday night, and Jennifer and Joel came from Colorado on Thursday night. We were planning on renting a 26' U-Haul to move everything up in one trip on Tuesday the 1st. That is when we close on our present house. Jennifer and Joel said they would like to help, but they are going home on Sunday. So.... We got the truck, loaded it up, all day long, it seemed, and took it, JD's truck, and Joel and Jennifer's truck with the trailer up to the new place. Jennifer and David stayed here with the kids, that was a big help. I know Jennifer wanted to see the house, so I really appreciated her doing that. We left here around 4:30 and got up there about dark. John and Walt Bigham were there to help unload everything. We were able to put everything into the garage for now. They got done around 9, and we headed back to El Dorado around 10. I'll be glad when it's all done, and we can get things put away in the new place. We need to get carpet down in the bedrooms, and flooring in the living room and dining room too. Vents need to be cleaned too. Since I wasn't any help, I went over to JD and Soni's to work on their costumes for a party they are going to. I never thought I would see the day, JD dressed in a pair of green tights.

Our New Place!

We looked at a place up at Pomona, KS. We are really excited about it, and we actually made an offer on it. We are praying that it is what God has in mind for us. We could do a lot with it. Mom and Tim could actually live in the full basement when we get it finished. It would be a great place for people to gather, and have all the family things we would like. It's not as many bedrooms as we would like, but we could possibly make another one later. The master
bedroom isn't quite as big as we were hoping, but we could make it bigger on the west or the south eventually? It has a huge concrete porch on the east, above the 3 car garage.
Our offer was accepted and now we are waiting for the loan process. What a pain!! It's more of a waiting game, than anything else.
